The
Corrections are a five-piece pop rock band, based out of Buffalo, NY.
Their flavor of alternative music draws from various influences including
The Push Stars, Belle & Sebastian, Elvis Costello and Crowded House.
“We’re trying to write fresh original pop rock songs with an emphasis on
melody” explains bassist Tim Mroz.
In March 2005, The
Corrections released their debut CD in the form of a three song EP, entitled
“The Man They Could Have Saved”. Plans are already in the works to begin
preproduction on their next CD by late May.
The band was started
by Mroz and singer/guitarist Guillermo Izquierdo in the spring of 2004.
Also in the band are keyboardist/singer Rob Pacillo, lead guitarist Mark
Ricci, and drummer Erik Hallmark, all of whom help develop The Corrections'
sound through their varied musical backgrounds and experience. “It’s a
thrill to be sharing the stage with such a solid group of musicians that
take music as seriously as I do”, says Izquierdo. |
